Photographer’s Note
Setting sails after leaving Lerwick for a two days cruises to Bergen, Norway, the home harbour of Statraad Lehmkuhl. Yo can still see the pilot boat in the background left, and some people are also untying the stay sails out there, something you will see better in the workshop. The fore lower topsail (in the foreground) is free from its gaskets, so it will be set in a few minutes. On the contrary, the foresail is still tied up so I beleive it had to wait for latter.
The wather is just grey here, a promised of bad weather. Just wait for the next pictures...

And a very nice week to all.

Hi Emmanuel,
The picture has a sense of adventure. You have done a hell of job managing the light conditions and getting some good colors. Bravo. Personally, I would have taken the easy way out and turn the image to black and white... guess I'm just lazy!
Cheers,
Enrique

Hello Emmanuel,
I agree that this shot is technically impressive considering the conditions. I'm not sure if a blue sky would make it look better because the high contrast would probably be problematic. Regards,

Bonjour Emmanuel,
une photo très précise et très nette. Je suppose que les mouvements à bord obligent des vitesses d'obturation très petites.
Bien cadré et bonne profondeur avec les côtes à l'horizon.
Je te souhaite une excellente semaine.
Daniel.

Hej Emmanuel,
I've said it before and I say it again, all those ropes create such a great effect. A well composed vertical photo with strong diagonals. The pilot boat again is a nice detail. Well done!
Regards,
Lars

Hello Emmanuel,
Seems like hard work to sail one of those fine vessels!
Looking at all the ropes I will think they are there for a reason, and they have to be operated by the crew, hehehe...
Tight framing works well here, good details!
Greetings,
