Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Lerwick (V) Photo

Photographer’s Note

To finish the serie on Statsraad Lehmkuhl during her stay in Lerwick Harbour, two views showing the fine decoration on the rear and one side view (where unfortnatly the ship is partly hidden by the pier). Apart from the Norvegian flag, you will notice the ble color of the hull part underwater, which is common to Norvegian ships but otherwise unusal (anti-fouling paint being mostly red, sometimes green but rarely light blue.
These are not very good pictures, but I have rather few of the ship (which was the reason of the voyage) thus I posted them tonight.
Tomorrow, we will make a little trip backward in time in the Viking fortress of Sumburg.

Très jolie photo de ce 3 mâts extraordinaire! Les annexes sur les bords rajoutent à l'impression de grandeur.
J'aime beaucoup, c'est juste dommage que la gauche soit un peu plus "bouchée" par le quai, mais c'est minime.
Le ciel est très beau, et la mature et ls vergues sont très impressionnantes.
Bravo pour ce beau cliché de passionné!

Well done Emmamuel, the compositon is nice, and the green blue coloring gives it a very aquatic feel.

Isn't that a proud ship!
A different point of view showing some fine details on the boat, I think the rig is difficult to reproduce well but scanning has been done with success here!

de très belles couleurs dans cette "marine" , et un bien beau navire aussi il semblerait qu 'il soit
d'une époque très proche de notre "Mercator" (Ostende), sa coque est en métal aussi.
l'argentique reste une valeur sur surtout à l'époque de la prise de vue (ektachrome 64 ?), un bon scannage bien complet. Bravo Henri
