Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Lerwick (I) Photo

Photographer’s Note

For the next three days, some views of Statsraad Lehmkhul in Lerwick Harbour, from different points of view, later after the arrival with a much better light and sky.
Here, a far view with a replica of a viking ship in the image (you will understand why latter in the travelogue). As far as I remember, the building in the froeground could be the back of the yacht club (which was opened to us as guests...) but I am not sure.

And in workshop, another taken from a street, which is unfortunatly wasted by a street light.

PS Elements 5.0 (all the views have been postprocessed with Neatimage to attenuate the grain and some sharpened with PSE 5).

Hola amigo,

Bello lugar y buena composición, un paisaje fantástico, me encanta Escocia, fue buena idea poner las casas en primer plano y en un lateral, de ese modo el resto de la escena aumenta su profundidad, buena iluminación y colores suaves, me gusta esa pequeña barca en medio de la imagen. Creo que si hubieses descentrado el horizonte el resultado mejoraría. El barco del fondo es el vuestro?

Good day in the Shetlands! Very nice cloudy sky. Good view of the harbor and the Viking ship in WS. Excellent colors and sharpness. Good job!

Hej Emmanuel,
A great view over the calm sea towards Statsraad Lehmkuhl. The weather is nice here and I like the sky with these little clouds. The inclusion of the small viking ship is great too and the stone building is well placed on the left hand side. Good work!
