Photographer’s Note
I took this picture this afternoon during very changeable weather.
This is the Fruid Reservoir, near the little village of Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders. The Fruid Reservoir was formed in 1969 by damming the Fruid Water and it provides water supplemetary to that of the Talla and Meggat Reservoirs to supply the City of Edinburgh and surrounding districts.
Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Hi John. Beautiful photo. I like the colors, composition and pov and I have only one small suggestion. I think photo would be more effective if it was in black frame. :-)
Hope to see you again.
Sincerely,
David

Hi John,
This is an exceptionally well composed picture, I´m looking at the diagonal line from the hill slope and down along the shore. The crash barrier curves very nicely inside this corner of the picture. Everything is as sharp as ever, and the clouds look fantastic. Did it rain later?

Hello John,
this is really beautiful picture, rich of detail. I love the smooth looking hills, fluffy clouds and the light shimmering on the water surface, the curve of the road is also nice and the picture has a great depth. Makes me wish to go to Scotland again. :-)
Best regards

Hello John,
I wonder if we shall ever come to think Armco is beautiful! I am sure you have first hand experience of what happens when a motor car and its contents leaves the road, and think it's well worth having. In this case a lack of it might lead to a wetting at the very least.
Anyway, forgive my digression. This is a fine composition, and that metal stuff describes a lovely S curve, which finds an echo in the soft horizon of the distant hills, under a lively sky.
A strong diagonal from the left hillside and down that bank [or is it a brae?]with its autumnal plants, and a little red roofed house further along to add interest.
Clear and sharp as ever and nice understated colours.
Excellent!
Kind regards,
Peter.
