my original posting seems to have got lost, but the workshop I did for you is still there, increasing the contrast a little. Hope you don't mind.
I like this view because it gives an impression of the whole street, and the relaxed attitude of the inhabitants. But I think that, if you want to justify the title, it would be better to crop off a lot of the foreground, as well as the bus-stop (though that is interesting in giving context) and some of the building on the right.
Peebles is an interesting town. Its town centre always seems to be busy and prosperous, unlike other towns which have easier access to the large supermarkets. I wonder whether that will change when the Borders railway is built.
