Photographer’s Note
This was taken at a Lurcher and Terrier show held in 2007. Between the two men sits a terrier dog. The man on the right holds raffle tickets as the raffle is just being drown and the numbers out of the hat called over a tannoy. I liked the shadows between the two men. Both terriers and lurchers
are set to catch rabbits.

Hello Bev,
This chap on the right is without doubt a triangular man! He has a triangular head too.
A pity we can't see his dog, but the man on the left sports a beard highly reminiscent of a wire haired fox terrier.
A fine shot - you have caught the air of expectancy in men and dog.
They say that owners come to resemble their dogs - here we have the proof.
As you say, the shadows are a big feature in the image, and I like the way that the white of the dog's head is shown in strong relief against his dark shadow.
Kind regards,
Peter.

Well done, Bev.
There's a lot of interesting things about this one. Like you said, the light and shadow is excellent, but I like, too, the contrasts in the two men. The guy with light hair and beard is well lit and the darker guy is in shadow. You handled that bright light really well, too, without it being totally blown out. Very well suited to B&W as well. Now - if the dog wore glasses or the guy had a black eye, they'd look uncannily alike...:))) Another great street shot. Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Hi Bev!
Excellent daily life scene, excellent "double" (or maybe "triple") portrait, very natural take, without posing, but with well studied framing and composition. Perfect choice of b&w! congratulations!

hi bev
You've caught a great scene here.No doubt though, black and white works perfectly here to underline the difference between the two men, separated by the little dog,
well seen*

Hello Bev,
Three friends sitting quietly waiting for decisions, surely.
The resulting shade is unique, no doubt.
Excellent tones and perfect composition and details.
Best wishes,

Bev,
I think the dog is most interested in the outcome of the raffle, lovely photo with plenty of feeling, as others have said, nice shadows.
