Photographer’s Note
I was out for the day trying to photograph new place so went from Selkirk up the Ettrick valley towards Tushielaw on the B7009. I stopped at various place on the way before turning of onto the B709 that takes you over to the Yarrow valley. I stopped in a biggish lay-bye/passing place to take several shots and this is one I hope that you like it.

It's a nice one, Jon.
I love the way the road curves into the shot and the different layers and textures. The dark green makes a nice contrast to the warmer colors in the FG and I like how they get softer toward the back. Very nice! Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

Again, well done on this landscape shot. What caught my eye is the apparent warmth of the foreground compared to the distant background. Great contrast between them!

Hi,
Good representation of a typical Borders landscape Jon. The diagonals work well and you got the road disappearing at just the right point in the frame and coming out of the corner gives a fine perspective. Thanks.

Hello Jon,
I hope you are now well recovered from your illness. Photography is a great way to help you to relax!
This is an excellent shot.
The snaking road, emerging from the bottom r/h corner, makes a fine lead into the hills and the distant forest. In fact, it creates a little suspense as to what might be round the corner!
Lovely composition with the overlapping hills and the sky following the rule of thirds very well.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jon,
Interesting question... we say that all roads go to Rome (means... somewhere) :)
