Now that the dust has well and truly settled on the trip, this is a shot from Peebles, where I met some TE members for the first time.
It was late evening and I think this was the first time the sun had broken through that day, from memory. We all had a little walk along the banks of the Tweed looking for a photo opportunity. This one seemed like a nice postcard shot to remind me of Peebles (the high street runs parallel to the river just off to the left).
I'm stood on a bridge. to the left and behind my POV there is a pub just before the bridge. I had a pleasant few pints in there one afternoon with TE member Will Perrett! Very nice it was too!

Ciao e buona domenica

Looks like a great place for a pint, and how cool that the street runs alongside this lovely river. This whole scene has a fine fresh vibe, I can almost feel the wind on the bridge. The approaching clouds look very cool too.
Thanks as always

This is a another shot which brings back some lovely memories of our TE meeting in Peebles in late October. But, hee, hee, it also answers a question for me because I remember those two ladies walking along the footpath on the right bank of the river - they're in my shot here - and now I know who the suspicious looking guy on top of the bridge in my shot is too!
Funnily enough, I suspect that I might in fact be in this shot of yours, right down at bottom right!
Anyway, the light here was, for a few minutes at least, perfect and you have made the very most of that brief moment to capture a delightful photograph of the Tweed and Peebles beneath a gorgeous sky. The light and colours are wonderful, your composition excellent and the details and sharpness exquisite. The inclusion of the two colourfully dressed ladies walking on the right is a fine addition.
P.S. Just thought I'd let you know that I won the annual Nature photography competition at the club on Friday night and my red squirrel was best print of all the entries too. I thought I could just detect a few faint murmurs and grumbles from some of the longstanding dyed-in-the-wool members at the back. The judge was Sandy Cleland FRPS who also showed some of his own stunning photographs at the end of our meeting.

What a super scene of this river Tweed and surrounding countryside, with Peebles on the left bank.
The light colours and clarity are splendid.
Sounds like you had a great time, especially in the pub with Will.

sounds like you may have been just as happy spending more time in the pub! haha
clouds make all the difference here, I wish I had clouds like this in all of my shots!
the exposure is spot on, wouldn't change a thing, especially to the left.
fine shot my friend.

And very nice this is too, in the postcardy way you describe, which is absolutely not your normal style! I see this is a crop: top or bottom removed, or a bit of each? And apart from darkening the sky a tad, I'm trying to work out what PP you've done here. Somehow it manages to look a bit painterly... But pleasant, and brings back pleasant memories.
