Photographer’s Note
Just a quick 'grab' of a shot in a crowded street, Was after looking at it that I saw it included three generations of women, unlikely to be the same family but I liked the different expressions and maybe attitudes. Didn't work at all in colour.

Hello Dougie, a framing with the delight of the B/W and the simultaneous apprehension of three women each one in a different plane that do of the image an interesting photo. I like the idea, the result is good.
Congratulations and a greeting.

This is a funny portrait and really well done, I like the vagueness of the person in the foreground as well as the choice of the black and the white... Beautiful dynamics... So congratulations and sorry for my poor english...

I really like how you caught what you caught. I think sometimes that can be the funnest part of photography. I really like your depth of field and use of B&W.

hello dougie,
congratulations for this shot,so dynamic!
good idea to use BW,cause it would be tiring to watch if it was color..
and the ladies look like they changed their souls..old one has hope in her eyes and the young one, just tiredness...
thanks for sharing..

Two things Dougie. Some colour shots look awful. For example. Why do you think so much wedding photojournalism is b&w. It makes people look better. And secondly, if you want to know what she will look like in 20 years, look at the mother ;)
Great reflexes, sometimes you see a shot without thinking and just know there is a good photo in it.

hello Dougie,
I like this a lot. People pictures are always my favourites. You have captured some great expressions, all different and as you say of three generations. I think there is something that rings true in the fact that it is the middle aged woman that looks the most care worn.

Hi Dougie.
United Kingdom is a hard contrasts land.
Interesting portrait: i like it very much because, for my italian point of view, is really "scottish".

Hey Dougie,
I think your picture is sublime. I am a big fan of daily life pictures, specially people! I think they say so much, and they can never be the same. Every shott is a new tale, which can be tell by hundred diferent lines.
Your photograph is perfect in my sense of view because can tell a hundred tales, and the eyes of the older woman, is shinning, is dreaming away, and make us folow her, maybe trough her young years. And the technique is so right...the way you have bluer the young woman on the first plan, and the B&W was the smart way to tell this tale.
TKS - CARPEN DIEM"!

Hi Dougie,
Very well caught. Sometimes the best shots come when you least expect. The fun of photography - not quite knowing what you've got. Well cropped. Chris

Hi Dougie, A wonderfully composed photo of (as you say) generations, the pure skin of the young & the wrinkles of the old, great B/W medium shot, I like the focus on the older lady, her expression is superb, great timing & nice tight framing, TFS, kind regards Wilson.
