Photographer’s Note
I came across this while having a clear-out. As far as I can remember this gentleman approached me while I was taking pictures of the gardens across the street. He said that my camera was too big and all I needed was one of these.
I have no strong opinion on that, but when he pointed it at me, at the same time as saying that I may need his permission to publish any pictures of the street since he was maybe in the frame, so I made sure he was before moving on....

Very funny. I hope he is a TE member and sees this picture! I can imagine the comments going back and forth. And remember, folks, if you're in a public place, you give tacit permission to be photographed.

Hahaha, funny one! Yes, I have no idea why you are using an EOS 5D! Especially the note on permission to pulish and the 3 for 1. I'd say you could have bought 30 uD500 Olympus cameras for the price of your 5D body. No clue why you ever bought that, so heavy and yeah... 30 for 1. ;-)

Hello, Dougie--
Wow... i don't even know what to say... From a photographic standpoint the composition is really eyecatching, 3 for 1 with a wide open mouth, exclusive Italian designer frames against his glasses that are sitting a little lopsided, the very in-your-face feel by the camera held out in front, the insecurity suggested by the camera tie-off, overall a very interesting set of juxtapositions. But the note is what really gets me.
Thanks!

This is a really good shot Dougie, great content and perfect DOF. It's a really good story to go with it too, good on you for making sure he was in it.
Haven't been on TE much lately so I have some catching up to do, you've all been so busy posting great shots!
cheers, Leon.

Hi Dougie,
Really nice photo. This has good old B&W feeling in it and you have captured many different details - I like the way the string comes from right, poster on the background and his look. Good tones as well - well done!
Cheers!

Yo Dougie!
I really like this sneaky shot! It's once again great detail of the subject in the foreground but also I really like how you've incorporated pieces of the street in the background to give a little meaning to the story.
Cheers!
