Photographer's Note
A quiet moment at Paisley Gilmour Street railway station before the trains arrive.
There has been a train station at Gilmour Street since the 1840s and it is the largest of the four stations in Paisley. Services pass through on their way to and from Glasgow and the Ayrshire coast.
The overhead canopy gives passangers protection from the bad weather but ensures plenty of natural light on the platform areas.

Greetings, Finlay
I am very fond of your photo "Awaiting Arrivals". I am always attracted by scenes with a strong one-point perspective vew, and this one certainly qualifies. I also like the repetitive designs of the windows and roof girders. Another high point are the red electronic signs in the distance that become a focal point as the perspective lines lead the eye toward them. Very well done.

Hello Finlay.
The leading lines guide me directly to the LED signs along the platform. Good details of this station captured in fine perspective.
Thanks and kind regards,
Jusni

Hello Finlay.
Your use of the wide angle end of your lens has help give the shot a nice sense of perspective with the red lights well placed in the composition adding depth to the shot.
Best wishes Les.

Hi Finlay,
Glad to see you again, hope you're doing well! I've always enjoyed these kinds of photos that have such a strong sense of perspective due to the converging lines. I like that your choice of focal point is in the middle of the composition, but off center. This feels as if it's about to explode out of the frame, there's a sense of motion...even for not having anything, or anyone around!? :) Nicely observed, you certainly used the quiet moment to your advantage. Thanks for sharing. Take care, and have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Jason

Hello finlay,
Indeed a very quiet moment at this station. The white and grey steel and paint makes for a very light station and I enjoy the way it is punctuated by the neon signs and a strip of blue paint. A super perspective.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Finlay
A classic perspective shot that makes great use of the lines to draw your eye in. An excellent example of this technique.

Hello Finlay,
You have many eye catching images in your gallery, but this one caught my eye instantly. It is an effective demonstration of one-point perspective, with all the "parallel lines" appearing to converge at a single point on the horizon. I imagine this is the 19th century textile center "Paisley" that inspires the famous motif by that name.
Warm regards,
Bulent
