Photographer’s Note
A reconstructed Crannog on Loch Tay. This is built on stilts driven into the Loch and is based on archaeological investigations of other sites round the loch (there are 18 discovered so far). It is a fascinating glimpse into life in those times.
As well as visiting the Crannog you can try out using iron age tools, pole lathes, stone grinding, fire lighting with wooden sticks etc.

Hello, Alastair.
I've heard quite a bit about these Crannogs at Loch Tay and am desperate to go and have a look. This picture has confirmed my desire to visit this place.
A superbly sharp and clear shot with beautiful colours and clarity and an interesting note to accompany it.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.
