Photographer’s Note
It was two winter days' work for two men, spreading muck on this 13 hectare field, and my cousin's dog enjoyed every minute of it. The tractor went to and fro about 5 times before it needed a refill. Then it went to the huge heap of dung where another machine lifted on fresh supplies. Last year's crop was spring barley; I think this year's will be seed potatoes.
Auldal has given us an excellent picture of the other aspect of this work.
My picture was taken from a bedroom window about 300m from the tractor. Cropped, downsized, cropped again, tone, brightness and contrast adjustments, USM, border.

Hi Winifred,
A very good documentation of this very interesting activity! Excellent colours and all the horizontal lines make this a very attractive picture. You could have resized it to use all the 800 pixels, but that is just a minor remark.
Best regards

Hello Winifred, This time a window shot without the window! I love the undulating landscape and the layers of green and soft brown. The perfectly placed tractor and dog add great life and interest, and their details are very clear. The proportions of the picture are well suited to the subject.
I find this little 'slice' of landscape very satisfying!
Best wishes, as ever....Maggie

I love the sombre colours of this shot and the dog leading the tractor, with the lines in the field leading the eye along.
Agree with others, could have been larger in size and higher quality - but also minor.
And I'm glad the smell doesn't come over in the picture!

Hi Winifred.
I wonder why did you not get all the available image size, yet this is a fantastic one.
TFS it

Hello Winifred,
it is a pity that the picture is so small, nevertheless it has a strong rural atmosphere and beautiful colours.
Nice one.
Best wishes
Romana
