The childrens highland dance was the optical highlight of this years Blairgowrie & Rattray Highland Games.
In this contest girls and boys do short step dances accompanied by a bag piper and are given points by judges. Steps and clothing are very formal. Check out this page for all information around this tradition.
As a technical detail: Unfortunately I didn't stop down my lens. At f/5.6 the DOF was so shallow that only the blue girl is properly focused :-/

I presume you wanbted to focur on the tartans..and not on the behinds!!!:~))I would have preferred to see them in the whole and up front, not from behind..but that is a matter of taste. Nevertheless, the idea is there and the colours are perfectly saturated. So.. 1 point for the shot and another for the note.
ps. : you could have added a little contrast.

Hahaaa, this is a little unchicken-like but it's a well spotted moment. The three different colors and the characteristic skirts are really funny. The clipping is very well chosen.
