Photographer’s Note
The Ring of Brogar is a stone circle superbly located on land rising above the saltwater Loch of Stenness and the freshwater Loch of Harray. When first erected there were 60 stones here, in a perfect circle 104m in diameter. Today just 36 of the original stones are still standing, and one of those only just, having been split vertically by a bolt of lightning on 5 June 1980.
Personally I entered the centre of the ring, and tried to recieve som extra power and forces, I felt during the day that I had a lot of energy to spare, if that was becuse my spirit was on top because we reached Orkneys or if I really got some strength there remains to be unsolved..lol

A nice composition. I love standing stones/stone circles but always find it is hard to convey the feeling you get when there to a photograph. I think in this case the sky helps create an atmosphere!
