Vogrie Country Park will probably appear in this theme a few times : this is what I saw !
I can do no better than refer you to Mariusz's notes for more information.
I would add that this was a splendid spot, as a close up peek at Google's aerial map will attest, but as is so often the case lately, this is a hastily grabbed shot, taken whilst others look impatiently on !

This is a beauty!
The colours have been perfectly reproduced but what is, also, so effective, is the wonderful sense of depth that you have achieved. The l/h tree anchors the f/g and leads quite naturally into the canopy of light and colours.
It was great to meet you.
Hope to see you again.
Have a great day,

perfect colours and light, like wall paper.
I wanted to be there.

Hello Martin - Nice to see you posting again and with such a beautiful shot. As a tree lover this has great appeal. A superb composition with excellent depth and detail and the layers of colourful foliage is stunning. A pleasure to see. Don't be such a stranger here on TE. Rosemary

it may have been hastily taken, and I can understand why, but it I still a beautiful image and composed perfectly. The light and colours a real tribute to autumn. Stunning!
Regards - Brian.

I like your hastily taken shot for the blurred foreground that makes it feel like an intentional usage of depth. :-) It adds a lot of atmosphere - like what is here does not matter, lets discover what is there.
I love the workshop btw :-).

The colors here are beautiful, so much the epitome of a perfect autumn. The light has a very magical quality to it too adding to the whole vibe of the place. Beautiful capture.
All the best

Wow! That colour really zaps you between the eyes! Maybe you helped it on its way slightly, but I well remember the strong effect of the low sun as it raked from behind the clouds for a few minutes: I think we were all out there making the most of it. Great composition too. Problem with my monitor, which isn't small, is that your image doesn't fit on the screen, so I have to scroll around it or go Ctrl>- to decrease the size of the image. I know Ann isn't a fan of the new increased size allowance, and I know what she means, especially for portrait images. Any thoughts?

This is a delightful picture from the Vogrie Country Park which, I might add, is a place probably no farther distant from my home than 30 or 40 miles and also a place which I had neither before visited nor, rather embarrassingly, ever previously heard!
The light and the colours are absolutely stunning and what impresses me most, apart from the beauty of the picture and its fine and pleasing composition, is the way in which you have managed to provide some fabulously strong contrasts and yet preserve lots of detail in the darkest and shaded sides of the near tree trunks.
A wonderful contre jour (as we say in English) photograph with excellent light management and superb and very sympathetic processing.
P.S. Lovely to meet yourself and your family again too. Sorry not to have commented on this picture sooner but have just returned from a trip down south to se my newest grandson! Oh, and a fine workshop picture too - how nice that Leo and Nicolas could sit happily in those oversize chairs nearby while boring old Daddy played with his apertures and shutter speeds and all that dull stuff!
