Not five minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, down a steep hill, Dean Village, with the Water o' Leith trickling by, captures the heart with it's stunning architecture, peace and charm. Now a very sought after place to live in the heart of Midlothian.

Attractive medieval architecture, solid rock block composition, corner conical towers, main high tower, multiple chimneys, etc.
I would enjoy visiting and if possible staying the night here.
thanks for sharing,
PS: Santa brought me an American Flyer train set in my youth, which was the competition to Lionel.

I am a very big fan of these architecture, almost sixties year ago we learned yet these style in the school.
You create depth and perspective.
Very high of quality taken.
Colours and sharpness are pleasant to look at.
Very well done, TFS.

Beautiful place, and you really chose the optimal view to capture so many of its elements here. Not only that, but the light is falling across the building perfectly too, bring out excellent detail in the textures, and creating some lovely small areas of shadow. That blue sky is wonderful, and especially so with the reddish brown brick presented against it. Nicely done.
P.S. thanks for your recent visits to my gallery, and comments on the statues from Cobh. Absolutely no offence on the navigator, I have to admit that I was not mad about it either, and thought it quite ugly. If you ever see the sculpture from a Profile view, the Jose is about a foot long, it's a vey strange work. That was why I mentioned that is "supposed" to represent Christ, as it does not look like any image of Him I have ever seen! Cheers again.
