Photographer’s Note

It was late afternoon when I took this photo, no green on the trees yet, soon we hope. This house sits quite high from the main road, you can judge by the road sign, give way, that joins the main road from the Esplanade, yesterday photo was on the esplanade.

In this part of town there are quite a few of this type,
Built with Sandstone, at a time when Greenock also the River Clyde area was in full working capacity and ship owners,and ship builders were making lots of money.
Be it, the sugar/tobacco trade plus lots of others.

A good upwards composition of this fine property built on the back of trade; perhaps lacks some sharpness. Was Glasgow and Greenock involved in the slave trade like Liverpool and Bristol?

This kind of houses reminds me the houses I saw in Cambrigde. They are in the same style.

In my opinion, you should have clonned the traffic signal...

beautiful house, I liekd its façade and the framing you build, leting the nude branches like a frame. light was difficult but you got a nice work despite it. well done
