Photographer’s Note
It wasn't a sunny day... :-) But the atmosphere was perfect for that place. A cliff somewhere on the Isle of Skye.

I'm fairly certain that this is Kilt Rock on the east side of the Trotternish Peninsula. The columns in the rock are basalt, formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago. There was probably a waterfall just out of sight to the left. I have done a WS to add a bit more 'punch'

Hi Stephano
Good presantation of the riff at skye. Natural contrast of scotland islands.

Hello Stefano,
Nice photo of this cliff. I have a look to the WS done by feather and I find it very interesting. This photo can have a higher impact by increasing a bit the contrast.
The sharpness is also a bit low. Did you perform a sharpness after the downsizing needed to post on TE. It is mandatory. Indeed, when downsizin, you are losing microcontrast versus the original size, so that you have to increase the sharpness on the small size to retreive the same rendering.
Yves.

Hello,
The interesting thing about this photo for me is that the rocks seem to be hovering in the gray abyss of the rest of the photo. The WS version of the photo enhances that idea (although I think I prefer the original). It is a strange sensation, especially with the title "Skye."
Nicely done,
Kate
