Photographer’s Note
This picture is taken from the summit of Ben Nevis, looking onto the "North Face".
From the edge of the rocks in the foreground is a sheer drop of around 2,000 Feet. The mountain itself towers to about 4,400 Feet.
The North Face, pictured centre, is the most popular route for experienced mountain climbers. And if you look extremely closely, in the middle you can make out a few climbers on their ascent.
