Photographer’s Note
Hi there, this picture was taken on a recent trip to Glencoe on a beautiful morning in early November. As you make your way north through Tyndrum towards Bridge Of Orchy you start to climb onto the plateau which is Rannoch Moor. The awesome beauty of Rannoch Moor and Glencoe should not be missed if your ever travelling in this part of Scotland.
Over 50,000 people each year also walk through this part of Scotland as part of the popular West Highland Way. It stretches 95 miles from Milngavie in the north of Glasgow to the foot of its highest mountain Ben Nevis which overlooks Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
Hope you enjoy the picture, thanks for viewing!

Great shot! This gives us a feel for what the area is really like, showing the sweeping vista of valley's and mountains. I like the way you used the water too, giving a nice reflection of the snow covered peaks. Beautiful shot of a beautiful area!

Hello James.
Reminds me of the song, Robert Burns isn't it - 'Sure by Tummel and Loch Rannoch and Loch Aber I will go etc.' I do know some more of it.
Anyway, it's a great shot of this beautiful autumnal landscape. It's crystal clear and the colours are beautifully rendered. Well chosen viewpoint to capture the reflection of the mountains in the still water. Lovely light and shadow. Excellent work.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi James,
Belated welcome to TE mate! I just got back from a week in Glencoe myself but I didn't get light as good as this. I had some great whisky at the Clachaig Inn though ;) I really like your choice of composition placing Meall à Bhuiridh and the famous Rowan tree where you have. It is always thrilling to see those perfect reflections like you offer here. My favorite bit are the whispy grasses in the lower left foreground that rather compel the viewer's eye into the frame. Only one slight niggly observation ('cause I can tell you are taking this seriously) is that the horizon is just a tad wonky - dropping to the right. Looking forward to seeing loads more from you.
Cheers!
Bob G.

Hi James
One of my dream is to go back to the country of my ancestors and roam the Highlands .
And looking at views like this only reinforce my feeling of belonging there.
Very good use of the light, one of the best of the day with sunrise.
Have a good year
Charles
