Photographer's Note
I have been absent from Trek Earth for a long time. Sorry about that. It is better late than never that I become active again.
This gentleman, a professional piper, was entertaining the tourists, including yours truly, in front of Scotland's famous Urquart Castle along Loch Ness (sorry I did not spot Nessy). He was a wonderful addition to this photo and to my ears (I love the bagpipes) and the photo works much better with him in the frame. Urquart Castle was blown up in 1692 to keep it out of the hands of the Jacobites. It is now in the caring hands of Historic Scotland. I am glad that I was able to get this shot because the castle was crawling with tourists.

Hello, Stan...
You captured the perfect post card image to advertise Scotland. When I was at Castle Urquhart last year, I listened to the bagpiper also, but he was never in a good position for a photo such as this one. You've done a fantastic job with this picture. Congratulations.

Hello Stan,
Nice to see you again on TE. I hope you will post later other shots from Scotland, a place I have not yet visited but well placed on the wish list.
Good balance in the composition for this iconic view: pipeman, saturated green grass, ruins in background.
Yves.

Perfection! I absolutely love this photo--the superb composition, the clarity of the entire image, the bright cheerful colors, the ancient castle, a bit of the lake, the varying greens of grass and trees, the lovely sky, and, of course, the Scotsman in his colorful traditional outfit! Absolutely Delightful! A picture-perfect image of Scotland! Thank You for brightening my day!
