Photographer's Note
The Isle of Skye, situated off the West coast of Mainland Scotland, is the largest and best known of the Inner Hebrides. Besides, it`s my favorite place in Scotland or even in the w...(?)
It has an interesting history, rich wildlife and wonderful natural beauty. The Cuillin Hills, the Red Hills and Blaven have long been favourites with climbers and walkers. If you don't fancy the high places, the deeply indented coastline means you are never far from the sea.
About the shot - That day was very cloudy as days always are here. The thing is to be patient enough, to sit and wait for something interesting, say a wonderful light I`ve been lucky to see. It has produced better contrast and quite strong saturation.
I would frame it a bit different, if there wasn`t the golf field with poles and other strange, disturbing stuff on the right.
Hope you like it.

Great shot Patryk. Light and colours really good. Nicely patterned and composed with a dramatic sky. It's a bit noisy, so I did a Workshop and ran it through NeatImage, but I see you have removed the option, so I can't show it. Try it yourself, it makes a big difference. Best wishes, Vicky

Hi Patryk,
Your picture is beautiful, the colours are great. I love the sun ray in the fields, with this heavy atmosphere. It's a pity there's so much noise. This place really seems to be very savage end windy.

Delphine

Hi Patryk, this is very nice, good contrast in spite of the great range of 'layers'. Beautiful sight. Gilbert

No, no the framing is perfect, as is the light, perfect contrasts, the only peeeve is the scan quality while better than average, could use a neatfilter or similar. I hope to get as a good light when I revisit Wales & cornwall in september

Thanks for these lovely images from the Highlands. I spent two months in Great Britain years ago with Edinburgh as my home base. The Scottish people were wonderful and the scenery stunning. I especially enjoyed driving a Citreon Dyane north along the west coast, including a visit to the Isle of Sky. You've captured it as I remember this stark, haunting country. The play of light and shadow is lovely. Good colors and fine detail Patryk. You have a good eye.

Hi Patryk,
I love the landscapes with "unusual lightning", i.e. amazing spot lights, like in yours.
Congratulations and thanks for posting.

Out your archive Patryk,
well I am a lanscape lover and I must say this is a very nice one, I must say technical it's not perfect, but the way how you took the shot is very good, a well taken composition. The light is the eye catcher, very nice job,

Hello patryck,
Looking to your gallery and on the theme flower of scotland (my favorite rugby hymne!), I've discovered this picture.
The light is gorgeous here. the contrast between forground and the sea is really beautifull.
Only remark : the picture is noisy.
I've tried a WS, but I can't post it because you've forbiden it!.
Best regards

Hi there, what amazing colours! I'm just back from the Isle of Skye and found it beautiful, but had some mixed feelings because I expected more from the pics I saw beforehand and from touring around Ireland and being spoilt with fantastic landscapes. From viewing your pictures I think you got a better light and season and I think I should go back to Scotland in autumn! Anyways very well done..colours here are great!
Cheers, Léonie
