Photographer’s Note

View from Storr hill, one of beautiful places visited during May trip to Scotland.

The Storr is a rocky hill on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye. The hill presents a steep rocky eastern face overlooking the Sound of Raasay, contrasting with gentler grassy slopes to the west.
The Storr is prime example of the Trotternish landslip, the longest such feature in Great Britain.
The area in front of the cliffs of The Storr is known as The Sanctuary. This has a number of weirdly shaped rock pinnacles, the remains of ancient volcanic plugs. One of the most famous of these is known as The Old Man of Storr.

Hello Maciej,
No foreground, just the majestuous landscape in all its bareness except for a small forest and a road. A wonderful view brought in natural colours.

Hi Maciej,

Long time no see my friend, hope you're doing well.
At least you were out in making more stunning landscapes like this one. Looks like it is taken from a plane or helicopter...what a great view. Nice play on the ground with light and shadow caused by the clouds and the colours bring nice contrast to the deep blue of the water.

This is a nice picture with beautiful colors. I like this lake (called loch in Scotland) and these dark clouds.
I will be there in june and I hope to take as beautiful picture as you take !

witaj Macieju,
swietny shot, Szkocja to naprwde kraina z duzym potencjalem jesli chodzi o fotografie. I ty przedstawiles to znakomicie na swoim zdjeciu. Fantastyczna gorska sceneria pocieta jeziorami robi naprawde duze wrazenie. Mam nadzieje ze uda mi sie odwidzic kiedys ten piekny kraj zwlaszcza ze mam obecnie niedaleko:)

Beautiful warm scenery the shadows from the clouds bouncing off the ground show the depth, and the detail is superb ...it gives a feeling of tranquility

Hi, Maciej. What a contrast between the rather sunny foreground and the dark grey sky. I like the beautiful green tones of the forest and the foreground slopes that contrast well with the brown tones of the central part. Your POV was very well chosen showing us the landscape of Sky, made of sea and mountains. Very good light management.
