United Colours of...Scotland!!! Photo

Photographer’s Note

Somewhere in Scotland...in the middle of nowhere I took this picture.

How I took it? Easy to understand. It had been rainning for days and stopped for (more or less) 2 hours...so I left my hotel near Inverness in order to get a picture of its mountains...and that's the result.

Don't ask me where I took it. The only thing I now for sure is that this charmful place is 30' driving from Inverness...north direction.

Salut Oscar!

Landscape is not your usual cup of tea and I like what you've done here while in Inverness. The summery colours are still in full swing, with vivid green and a full palette of citrus hues. The blue sky always work magic when blended next to these greenish tones.

I once have an haircut in this charming little town... Never again!

Well, Shotland and good weather, you must be lucky ;-)
Something else than a rough coastline or old ruins and how i love to see this. Could be anywhere, but i would never had related this to Scotland, therefor a big hurray for bringing up something new...well done.

quin ensurt! per un moment he pensat que havies anat a Cocolàndia a fer aquesta foto.
Però no és Castella, és Escòcia, i els camps tenen un color atractiu, barrejat amb un cel suposo que poc habitual allà.

Con tu titulo imaginaba mas la hierba de color azul y un cruz blanco en el medio. Pero, asi me gustan los diferentes colores y la luz bonita. Que suerte que tuvistes un poco sol.

Hello Oscar,
what looks most amazing (to me) in this picture is the combination of two colours: yellow-golden and blue! they enliven the whole shot very much and create a very sunny cheerful mood; but a very nice addition is the trees and their shadows on the sunlit green grass! I like the warm colour gamma; the composition is just excellent!

La verdad es que estas poniendo unas excelentes fotos en TE, este paisaje del campo de Escocia esta estupendo, me gustan mucho los diferentes colores del valle y la montaña. Encontrar en ese país una día tan soleado es como encontrar una aguja en un pajar, estuve allá hacen 6 años y todos los días fueron nublados y fríos.

Very delicate, calm, peaceful...
I like all these horizontal 'layers' created by sky, mountains, trees etc.

It seems to be 'only' a landscape but its original one!

From someone from sunny Catalunya, visiting scotland in autumn must be quite a depressing experience... so I can easily understand that you rushed out seeing the first sun rays ! Nice landscape showing a variety of colors and with the trees filling well this otherwise rather empty place.

This picture surely takes me back to Scotland and particularly the area to north and west of Inverness. You can see just a hint of the heather. Before I looked I thought that this was taken in September, just past the height of the heather. It the greens, the yellows and blues that dominate when the sun shines in Scotland in September and you have captured them in this photo. I hope that you got some good photos on your gray days. My photo workshop on Skye was dominated by gray, but I still got some wonderful images. Our leader kept insisting that the color was better when the sun wasn't shining.

This nice view reminds me a place of Auvergne in the Puy de Dôme area.
Very beautiful colours divides in 4 parts from this nice point of view.
