Photographer’s Note

Loch Linnhe is a large sea loch running alongside Fort William, probably the largest town in the Argyll area and gateway to the UK's highest hill, Ben Nevis. This was taken at about 9 in the morning, when the sun was high and yet the cloud was still low over the water, and I was lucky enough to get a run of absolutely beautiful images. (In Fort William and the subsequent train journey to Mallaig I got through 512MB of fairly low res images and could have taken twice that, it was so stunning...)

In the summer Loch Linnhe is perfectly positioned for when the setting sun is low, and is a wonderful venue for keen photographers...I'd urge any first time visitors to Scotland to make the West Coast a priority.
