Photographer’s Note
Image 4 in my Scottish Highland travelogue - near Bridge of Orchy.
Traversing the tops from Beinn Dorian to Bein a'Chreachain I tried many POV and exposure settings to capture this view. Being late in the year the lighting remained low, adding to the contrast, but the morning mist in these freezing conditions made the hills appear in layers, which is what I've tried to capture here.
I knew it was tricky shooting into the sun, but interestingly the internal evaluative metering on my Canon G6 worked great in these conditions, because 0 exposure compensation worked best.

Belle photo aux tons très doux avec ces chaines de montagnes à perte de vue. On prend vraiment en compte l'immensité du paysage. bravo

Great earth colors fainting with each layer, interesting foreground with stones reflecting the sun; well done, David.

What a huge, desolate scenery! The high contrast made your image alost b/w, which makes the impression even stronger. It must be quite an experience to hike through that country.
