Taken in on the Northern Coast of Scotland last week. (Not in the Shetlands, the region is actually Sutherland, but it's not on the state list yet!)
I was mesmerised by the colours.
Notes on processing.
Other than the usual auto levels and colours adjustment and USM, I used the Contrast Masking technique at around 60% opacity and I also applied a gradient layer (opacity around 20%) to lighten the foreground.
I posted this for around 15 minutes yesterday but took it down because I wasn't happy with the processing (particularly the sharpness). RobBrown thanks for your comment, I very much appreciate it. I will take more time checking my pics before posting next time.

Nice shot. I like the colors, the composition with diagonal lines in different directions and the proportions of green foreground, brown middle and clouded sky. The light on the stone wall and tree is neat too.
You should have used re-post so that we can compare with your original. You say you modified this shot but we can not appreciate the change when you delete and post again.

I agree with the re-posting remarks, what the heck. I like the compostion and lighting. But to my eye, it seems perhaps a bit over sharpened; but maybe it's just me.

Yep its definatley an improvement over the original the forground is now visable and you can almost feel the wind wipping across the bleak landscape.
On my sceen it still looks a little dark but then mine does run a little on the dark side.
