Photographer's Note
The Armadillo Glasgow
Taken on the same shoot as my image of BBC Scotland but slightly earlier
Still in the mid point of the blue hour.
Not too long an exposure only 15 seconds.
Circ polariser used
tripod
remote
I suppose this image could work as a square format crop but i feel it removes too much of the sky and the reflections.
Hope you all had a good new year and santa was good to you :-)

Ciao John
molto bello l'Armadillo con questi colori e questa luce.
In effetti il formato quadrato avrebbe dato più importanza all'architettura, ma in questo modo si apprezzano molto il cielo e l'acqua.

hello John,
the long exposure gives this spectacular night shot a surreal atmosphere. The colors are also a bit unusual. Congratulations and best wishes for 2013.

Hi john
Another one of your wicked looking architecture shots!
At first glance i wondered why you chose the vertical format, but i respect and understand your choice after reading the note.
Beautiful colors and skyline. This building will have to go on my to-photo-list.
Great shot.
Happy holidays

I like your choice of format here, John - offsetting the 'horizon' adds a bit of nice perspective to the shot. The building itself is fascinating; a bit reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House, though obviously different in scale and shape. What's its purpose?
The longer exposure does wonders with the light, it looks otherworldly on the building itself, with a good glow from surrounding areas. Nice choice.

Kia ora John,
Amazing shot, well planned and it has come up trumps. It does look unreal. Cheers, Neil

Your composition and choice of the format is oké to me!
The sky and it's reflection is a substantional part of this shot and must therefore not be removed!
I love the green too!
Regards and best wishes for 2013!

Hi John, beaqutiful view of this ammazing structure, and the colours of blue hour are magnificent. Excellent composition. I knew about this building before I went to Glagow, but finally i had not enough time to go there. I regret, it would be a challenge to make a shot of it.
I was a good girl and Santa was kind to me. And what about you?
Warm regrads
