Photographer's Note
I posted a black and white image of this bridge some time ago. Today I post a coloured shot as I think it shows the details of the engineering and design well. To read more about the bridges of Glasgow and to view the previous shot please follow the link here

Hi Rosemary,
The colour version is good here, as these red regular lines are yeycatching here. Nice graphic composition. Interesting piece of engineering.

Rosemary
La version noir et blanc est intéressante mais j'aime cette version couleurs où lumière et couleurs sont très attractives. Le cadrage est parfait.

Hi Rosemary,
Wonderful hot vs cold colour contrasts between the red & blue with well managed perspective. Good sharpness & nice abstract reflections of the blue skylight in the water at left. The green algae adds some variety to the color. Tfs! Have a great weekend!

Hello Rosemary,
Yes, I remember your black and white picture of this bridge very well indeed. I can't say which I prefer because they are so different and each is a wonderful photograph in its own right.
Your black and white photograph has more mood and drama but this one celebrates the joys of colour. And the colours here are beautifully (though not overly) saturated and the strong contrasts are well managed. Strong solid lines of composition, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Bonjour Rosemary

regards.
Daniel.

Hi Rosemary,
i photograph this brisge about once a week on average but i am never happy with how it looks :-(
I never get decent drama for the image to work for me.
I like the simple approach here and also liked the b/w version
keep them coming the more Glasgow images the better

Morning Rosemary, I prefer this bridge in all it's glory, the pinky and other colours are splendid, your Pov, and management, first class. The water has a slight blue tinge, great play of light underneath. Cheers Iain.
Thanks for your comments on my last post, I do struggle with Tecky stuff as I suffer from Dyslexia, I do have Elements 8, and attempted an open Uni course, but alas struggled on this side, even though I passed with flying colours as they let me use Piccasa. Will try again, and try to get to grips with it.

Dear Rosemary
Good choice with the vertical frame. I really think it accentuates the perspective here and allows us to concentrate more on the details of this particular part of the bridge. Lovely colours and excellent light management.
Warm regards, enjoy your weekend

Hi Rosemary
I prefer this version as I have the feeling that contrasts enhance the railtracks, actually the red bridge could be the train itself in a kind of abstract way...
TFS!

Hello Rosemary,
This is super as a colour shot. The red paintwork and the blue sky work well with the rusty grey tones of the bridge. I like your POV that catches the perspective very well. Excellent quality.
Best wishes, Ann
