Photographer’s Note

Could not resist posting this when I came across it while scanning 30 years of photos of our house in Edinburgh. Looking north from Blackford Hill towards Salisbury Crags.
Snow in April was unusual, and probably did not last long. In 1963 we had an exceptionally long period of deep snow. Workshop shows a photo my husband took then, in the days when Edinburgh was still 'Auld Reekie' and the trees in our garden were smaller than we were.

Scanned at 2400 dpi, filtered and sharpened in NeatImage (free download); resized, highlights slightly darkened and very small amount of USM in PhotoShop. Original slide is in a holder marked Transfoto.

Workshop now has an unfiltered version.
