This is a technically adept photograph (we needn't have another conversation about the saturation, as although vibrant, it doesn't seem too overcooked this time!) The composition is strong, particularly the ring of people in the middle foreground. As a postcard of Edinburgh, it's as good as it gets; but I generally prefer your edgier, more challenging images, particularly the b/w ones. This is an excellent record of a place however.

I was lucky to visit Scotland once, and found Glasgow to be a beautiful city, so much fine architecture and history. Many people told me that Edinburgh is even more beautiful, and your post here certainly reenforces that point, this is a fantastic image of the city. Amazing colors, a wonderful composition and that little ring of people in the lower centre is superb as a foreground focal point. Perfect quality and an almost 3D effect to the sky. Love this capture!
All the best

Hello Gyorgy - You have a shot with fantastic depth here, the composition initially sweeps one's eye to the far distant reach of the clouds and then my eyes wander around the details of the shot before alighting on the circular group of people. Contrasting colour and a dramatic cloud formation over the city add punch and liveliness to this shot. I note a little bright halo around the junction between the buildings and the sky.... over-sharpening perhaps? Warm regards Rosemary

Wow what a shot !
Never seen Edinburgh with this luminosity, clearness, vivid colors
A great cloudy sky too and a good focus point at fg with the circle of people seated
Bravo, I'm very enthusiast with this one
have a nice day

I thought this one would brighten Will's day :-). OK yes it is a tad colourful shall we say, but it makes for a stunning and quite magical image of this famous City. I love the fg human interest here too it just add that little something extra to this fine image.
Regards - B.

Hello Gyorgy ,
one more time , I don't agree with Will ;) , not about the saturation , but about your choice of presenting us color pictures . Because I love colors and postcards ; and this one is so perfect in many aspects : composition , sharpness , light , sky . The bonus is the ring of people in the FG .

Great work, Gyorgy! I take my hat off... Just a masterpiece!
fantastic sharpness for f/4! Perhaps Pentax 5-15 mm is very good lens.
