Photographer's Note

Another picture taken of street entertainers in Edinburgh's old town during the course of the Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh "Fringe" which runs at the same time in August each year.

Just after the Crazy Juggler had finished his act, these two comedians came on "stage" in the street outside St. Giles' Cathedral. They were preparing to start their act when they spied me standing on a low wall nearby taking some pictures and immediately struck this pose just for me - to the amusement of the crowd. I was prepared to receive some abuse from them but actually they were very co-operative and, a few seconds later, took up an even more suggestive pose just for me and my camera - as you can see in the workshop!

Wandering around the streets of Edinburgh during this time can offer some wonderful photographic opportunities provided you have a thick skin and are prepared to take jibes, jokes and laughter from some of the street entertainers!
