Edinburg in the winter scenery,
Calton Hill (archaically spelt Caltoun or Caldoun is a hill in central Edinburgh, Scotland, just to the east of the New Town and is included in the city's UNESCO World Heritage Site. Views of, and from, the hill are often used in photographs and paintings of the city.
Calton Hill is the headquarters of the Scottish Government, which is based at St Andrew's House, on the steep southern slope of the hill; with the Scottish Parliament Building, and other key buildings, for example Holyrood Palace,lying near the foot of the hill. The hill also includes several iconic monuments and buildings: the National Monument,the Nelson Monument,the Dugald Stewart Monument,the old Royal High School,the Robert Burns Monument,the Political Martyrs' Monument and the City Observatory.

Hi Gregg,
Beautiful winter shot, the partial snow on the grounds makes a very cold shot, and the buildings look excellent against the winter sky. Lovely stark trees as well, a really great scene.

An excellent composition , with a very good winter atmosphere . It seems that you've captured a rare moment of sun light , with this cloudy sky that provides a superb effect . The two inetersting buildings and the trees are very well places in the frame .

la tua è una bellissima foto, oltretutto ben incorniciata, che regala uno splendido punto di vista su questo luogo della Scozia.
Piace molto la composizione alla quale concorre il clima con l'alternarsi di prato verde e neve mentre nel cielo nubi e azzurro si sfumano a vicenda.
La tua bravura è stato aver ben equilibrato questi componenti evidenziando la macchia di colore data dagli alberi inquadrati sulla destra.
Un mix che a mio parere sarà fonte di successo per questa foto

gdy mieszkalam w Edynburgu mijalam to miejsce codziennie w drodze do pracy. Dzieki za przywrocenie milych wspomnien :-) Fotografia ponadto bardzo ciekawa, bo sniegu w tym miescie nie bywalo zbyt czesto, raczej deszczowo. Piekne kolory i dobrze prezmyslana kompozycja.

Very nice capture from Calton Hill.On thumbnail I was thinking a capture from Greece or antique Italy.
A scenery, a mixture of wintery and autumnal colors.
Interesting notes.
