Photographer’s Note
One to follow up my last post.
I'd been for a birthday paddle down our local River Tyne in my canoe, when these two ducks took off just in front of me, skimmed past my head (Duck) and landed behind.
Here is the moment they landed.
I know the photo is heavily skewed & thought about straightening it, but I was happy to have got two shots in without going for a duck. The angle reflects the way it was shot.
And here's the scene before all the kerfuffle A minute before

Sharp focus on nearest branch gives more depth to this view. I think the tilt is, in fact, desirable - it makes the riverbank horizontal and gives attractive rising diagonals in the water. Golden whin flowers in just the right place. Tremendous energy in the perturbed water. The poses of the swans are good, too!
Many happy returns!

Hello Alastair,
Nice shot there, I seen your previous shot and was waiting for the follow up.
Like this one, not so often we see swans so close in action shot.
Well taken and good timing.
Maybe they were just letting you know, who,s boss here?
Thanks for sharing
Regards
Robert

Oh, this is a great one, too, Alastair...(I like that name) I love swans and you've done a brilliant job catching them in action while YOU were in action, too... I don't mind that tilt a bit, that's a dandy shot. It must've been so cool to see them up close and personal like. Ever so nicely done! Many thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly
