Excellent shot. There is lovely warm light that picks up the detail on the front of the cross. The Bass Rock is a well known landmark. It's very clear in the background of your shot and balances the composition nicely.

this is a lovely picture. the sun has helped create some fantastic warm and well saturated colours. i love the inclusion of bass rock on the horizon in the background. great detail on the cross. excellent sharpness and depth of field.

Hello Dale,
The framing is a little tight at the top of the image; I would be inclined to clone in a bit more of the sky if I were you. Nevertheless, you have captured the cross well under a pleasant ambient light. I like the light and shadow contrasts and excellent detail.

Hi Dale,
A beautiful cross no doubt, and a great composition. It seems to be huge, and one of the tallest I have ever seen. Positioned beautifully with the expansive background. The light is illuminating the stonework in a way that could not be better.
