Dundee Reflections

Time for a new reflections photo and with this photo I go a little further up north again in Scotland, to the city of Dundee.
We were very briefly there, actually we only had to change from bus to train. The railway station wasn't the most beautiful building in the city, but at least it had those reflections in the facade, which also were nicely distorted. So this is a new photo for my Reflections-theme as well. :-)

Dundee (Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Dèagh) is with a population of 143,000 the fourth-largest city in Scotland, after Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. It's located in the council area Dundee City and on the north bank of the Firth of Tay.

Hope you like this photo and thanks for your visit!

Nice photo with beautiful reflections
Very well done
Best regards

Hey Lars,

Nicely composed, great effect with the reflections. Clarity and sharpness are yet again wonderful.

See you around.

Bonjour, cher Lars,
Le Modernisme possède des avantages certains en plaçant de nombreuses glaces argentées faisantnaître ainsi un joli miroir du passé !
Une très bonne prise de vue alliant modernisme à l'ancien.
Amitiés.
Philippe

A very well composed and beautiful photo. Lovely colours and I like the old architecture reflected on the glass.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Lars,
the grand master of reflections! Excellent the reflection of the opposite building, on the sun lounge of the Dundee Station. The record of the light and the colours of the reflections are superb, as the light distortion of the real buildings.Informative your note too.

Regards,danos

I can just imagine you, camera at the ready, actively looking for reflections everywhere you go :D Another good one for your collection. I particularly like the distortions. Well done
Kath

Hej Lars,
now we all now that Dundee station is worth a visit on sunny days because of the good reflection :-) Do they clean it often enough?
Very interesting and good one with a lot of the city included and also a puzzle because some repetitions might be real ones and others only in your chosen mirror.

Hi Lars,

yes, it can be quite frustrating when not having time to see the city, only a small glimpse of it. Even though the building itself did not offer much aestetic pleasure you managed to find your way around it and use it to show nearby scenery, which looks quite impressive and worth stopping next time for a bit longer period of time. Distortion is small enough to give fair impression of surroundings and some pleasant patterns. The only thing I would do different here is cropping the image above visible board on bottom of the image. To get more panoramic view. Hope you do not mind me being a little creative here. :) I would like to say looking forward for some new impressions from Dundee but I guess I'll have to wait for the next time you'll stop there. :)

Kind regards,
Jeri

Hello Lars,
Good capture of these nice reflections, it's really a mirror! Good management of the exposure too, well done!

Hello Lars

Particularly I think that reflexes never cease to maravillarme, whether in the water or on the glass all over the large number of textures and forms that occur. I love the composition you created here, with great wisdom and originality, projects an urban landscape, almost perfect, with minor deviations, but with a lot of contrast and sharpness. Excellent work, friend

John

Ciao Lars,
genial, simply genial. A picture in picture. Amazing as the reflex has not lost the neatness and the different tones of light. Compliments, really an excellent job.

Slightly tilted to the right (forgive the comment if it is voluntary), but nice colors for these Scottish reflections.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Dag Lars,

Bedankt!

Prettig weekend,
John.

Hi Lars,
Splendid impression with impressive details, the composition is effective and attractive. I like the spectacular reflection and POV, Well done! Have a nice weekend

Hi Lars,
It's a good addition to your theme on reflections. It's very well composed and well sharpened. I like the big red letters and the coincidence that we see only old buildings reflected on the surface of this modern construction.
Regards, José.

The vertical windows form an interesting pattern that blends well with the reflected buildings.
Nice work.
Phil

Hi Lars, if the down comer lines of the building were not on the image it would be very easy to believe that the reflections are the real old buildings!
They are stunning and all the composition works very good.
What about the small part on the top right, the overexposed sky, if you had cropped it out?
Cheers
Evangelos

Hello Lars!
Great reflections! Beautiful city! Nice colors, clarity and details!
TFS, Best regards, Zorica

Lars bonjour.

groet Rob

Hi Lars,

No doubt where you are. You have chosen an excellent POV and I believe that with all the sections of the facade of the station. The building in the background is sort of duplicated. A wonderful effect and very well seen. Excellent job. Have a nice Sunday evening!

Cheers,

Ulf
