Photographer’s Note
This intimidating big bronze door is on the War Memorial which stands atop Dundee Law - a volcanic hill which is the highest point in the city at 174 metres above sea level. The Law affords excellent views of the city of Dundee and the River Tay and its two bridges.

hello John,
you are right, it is intimidating. Tere is something brooding about it. But interesting and something i shall have to look out next time I am in Dundee. You have the door well framed here and the splash of colour made by the ribbons on the cross set gainst the door make this as attractive as it is likey to get!

Hi John,
Looking further through your older photos I found this one, another one that deserves wider attention. It is very simple but it still tells a story, this closed door and the flowers in front of it. Attractive colours!
I only knew of Dundee as a place that used to have several factories for production of linoleum, something I know a lot about.
Greetings from Gothenburg
Gunnar
