Hi Caroline!!
I like the way you used sun light to compose this picture. Border between light and shadow follows the line on the ground and reacches the bycicle becaming a background for this subject.
Strange that nobody notuced this lovely work till now!

Hello, Caroline.

I like this. I like it a lot. That poor old bicycle looking all forlorn. In fact, I see that most of your pictures are of France and this looks perhaps more French than Scottish.

Technically, the photograph is excellent - perfectly exposed (difficult with such areas of bright sun and deep shadows) and sharp.

Only comment is that you are allowed up to 800 pixels in any dimension - making the picture a little larger would have given it a little more impact.
