Photographer’s Note
A drive deep in the heart of Dumfriesshire with the rain threatening. This is a one track road between Ae village and Durisdeer village. We took a route over moorland that was desolate and wild. For some miles there was only sheep for company and they were skittish, not wanting to stay to be included in a photograph.
uncropped.

Bev
I too leave in a wild and lonely place, except it is a couple hundred miles of this kind of road all around us. Take the green away, leave the hills and you have central Washington State. The lane captures the isolation, the heavy clouds capture the mood. Great work.

Hello Bev,
Thin road seems it’s only for single car. I like its shape at end in green textures. Stunning autumn colors at background are really nice with trees at foreground. Excellent sky. Congratulations.
Best Regards,

Very nicely composed Bev - I maybe would have cropped an inch or two off the top of the sky but that's all.
The light is really lovely on those trees in the middle distance.
Cheers Leon.

Now this is more like I imagine Scotland to be. The light in this is beautiful I guess coming through the clouds it always gives that slight unearthly feeling. Can almost smell the rain in this one.

Hi Bev
Beautifull the light here. The contrast with the dark sky is great.
Very nice
