Photographer’s Note
Arguably the most handsome of cattle, the Scottish Highland usually boast a beautiful red coat. Much to my surprise as i have never seen one before, I spotted this black bull. He had a magnificent pair of horns and sported a ring through his nose.
Dumfriesshire's economy rests on farming and forestry displayed here at the edge of Ae forest.

Nice shot. Good low light photo, the whites are a little hot but overall very nice.
I hope you were on the other side of a fence when this was taken!

Looks like a grand wee beastie! I saw some in Torridon this year and some really dark brown ones as well. A good composition with leading diagonal lines, good interest and a wee splash of autumn colour. Thanks.

I like the placement of the cow in this, and with the roads/paths joining as they do it sort of directs your eye to the animal. Thanks for sharing.
