Lovely!! Is'nt it amazing how soon the calves and horse-babies can stand on their legs! I have seen the birth of a calf many times, but it is a wonder every time. Here I can see also the navel of the calf. A wonderful photo and very clear and good too, with nice colours.

Hello Bev,
I am judging this, not on its artistic merits but, on its documentary ones.
It is such a fantastically detailed shot which says so much about the continuity of life, the bonding of parent & offspring and the ruggedness of some nursery enviroments.
Perfect dof.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

What an incredible capture, Bev.
To be right there at the very beginning of a new life. Just astonishing. Great photo in all technical aspects and just amazing from a life perspective. WOW! Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Hello Bev,
You have been quite active while I have been travelling for some time, so I'll have to look more carefully at your recent pictures in due time. This one stands out among the thumbnails and is indeed a remarkable and touching documentary shot. The cow and her calf have even positioned themselves in a nice way.
Best regards,
Gert
