Photographer’s Note
This was taken near Loch Awe - Scotland's (and Britain's) longest lake which is located in the SW highlands. We'd come to visit the ruins of Kilchurn castle by the shore of the loch and as we were walking back towards Loch Awe village to find a pub/catch the train home, I noticed how this tree seemed to line up with the distant hills in what I thought was quite a pleasing way.
This was taken on Kodak Elitechrome 200 slide film. I've cropped a little from the top and bottom of the original image and boosted saturation a little in PS Elements. The exposure details are lost in the mists of time.

Great picture, Great notes.
I like how you place the tree in this composition, nicely balanced by the mountains in the background. The colors are nice.
I wish the village, or houses were not in the middle. Nice processing, nice photograph.
Well Spotted. I undestand what you mean by exposure details. I remember almost none of my exposure details as go over my image collection to find worthy images for TE.

Beautiful landscape and something wild in it.
Colors are just wonderful. Scotland will be probably my next foreign destination.

A very nice and well composed landscape shot. It's not tack-sharp though, maybe from the scanning?
The image tilts to the left, I've made a workshop to correct it.
One of the beautiful details about dgital images is that the exposure data is embedded in the file, that's probaly the reason why so many people "remember" them.

Beautiful landscape. I like the grass color, brownish. I am wondering why the green color is not as bright as brown. Is it because of the film character?

It is a very beautiful landscape with magnificent colours. I like the composition, the mountain to the left seemed to me, at first sight, of excess then finally complete the landscape. Good shot!
C'est un très beau paysage avec des couleurs magnifiques. J'aime la composition, la montagne à gauche me semblait, à première vue, de trop puis finalement complète le paysage. Vraiment très bien fait.

Nice shot. I think that I'd consider an even tighter crop on this one to emphasise the main subjects - maybe crop everything below the rocks on the right hand side amongst the grass.

Fine landscape shot, and agree to that the tree balance well in this picture.
