Photographer’s Note
Not a photo that I can be proud of, nevertheless, a fact of life.
This was taken on recent visit to Tobermory, on the Island of Mull, S.W.Scotland.
It would have been well kept and cared for church, not so many years ago.
Also think it would have been closed with not so many people in attendance each Sunday.
Also other functions that it served the community with.
I heard only yesterday on the radio,a church minister say, you do not need to dress up in fine clothes to come to church on a Sunday.
Many years ago when I was young, I would see people dressed in best clothes going to church service on a Sunday morning.
Maybe this habit did slowly put off the younger generation from attending. I do not know ?
Life became casual wear some years ago.
However, I knew before I entered the door, this old church is now a small supermarket. Just empty walls and floor. Sad, but it does still have purpose, in serving the community.

Hi Robert,
I am very disappointed with the church as well. You know, I had recent losses and did not find friendly words coming from the priests.
Beautiful church built in stone, very good colors.
Have a nice friday
