Photographer's Note

Tobermory in the early morning is a joy. Few visitors are out, most seem to prefer the delicious Scottish breakfasts and a leisurely start to the day.

Walking around the main street and harbour and watching the sun slowly climbing in the sky is a peaceful, almost solitary activity. There goes the milkman, there goes the fisherman and here I stand enjoying the new day dawn.

Good choice of the vertical frame, allowing to include this long sunk boat at the FG
Nice compo with little room for the sky, the long space for waters and the eye catching red house at the horizon line
Pleasant light and natural colors

Yesterday he was in a boat, now only a photo theme. Very good insight, just a little sad.
The picture quality is excellent, but I'm from, I was not happy :-)

Your composition here is superb, I love the vertical frame with that huge foreground, emphasising the perspective of this characteristic old boat. The poor thing looks like it's seen better days. The light looked to have been pretty difficult, but you stil manage to control it beautifully with a luminescence that's enviable.

I like the way you composed the picture with the boat creating a lead-in & perspective into the picture. The light on the rim of the boat is particularly eye catching & the luminescence against the dark blue water is attractive. Good work!
