Photographer's Note

High above Oban stands McCaig's Tower. This Coliseum like building was the dream of banker & philanthropist John Stuart McCaig. McCaig died & the structure was never completed & remains as it is as a testimony to him. It stands 70 metres above sea level & its walls are between 9 & 14 metres high. If you climb the viewing platform to the top of the wall you can get fine views across Oban Bay to the islands & Morvern Mountains beyond. It is said that the best time to do this is at sunset when the sun goes down over the bay.

Framed in PS. Sky is naturally white.
