The Holy Loch, Argyllshire Scotland.
This shot was taken onboard the car ferry crossing to Hunters Quay, near Dunoon.
The sea in this time of year is dull, not like summer more blue. the mountains are also in shadow as low sun.
Very slight pockets of snow in the hills.
Holy Loch so named by pilgrims from Ireland, not sure on dates etc, but a long time ago.
There was also a American summarine naval base there for 30 years aprox. 1962 -1992 aprox.
The area is now getting back to normal, boating for pleasure etc.

A great capture of the Holy Loch. I like to see the houses of the villages on both sides of the water. The area around the loch is really beautiful. The light and the sky with clouds is wonderful too. It's a great capture from the ferry. Thanks for sharing!
