Photographer’s Note
Glamis Castle is situated beside the village of Glamis (pronounced Glämz (in IPA: /ɡlɑːmz/)) in Angus, Scotland. It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and is open to the public. Glamis Castle was the childhood home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, best known as the Queen Mother. Her daughter, Princess Margaret, was born there. A picture of the castle is featured on the Royal Bank of Scotland ten pound note.
The castle features extensively in fiction and legend, and according to local legend has more dark secrets than any other castle in Scotland.
The photograph was taken from a spot at the West Tower which, together with the East Tower, are two follies marking the original garden's boundaries.

Hi Peter,
I like your POV, giving the impression we are looking around the corner of the building past the flowers to discover this magnificent castle. The vertical frame works very well.
Very nice light, the long shadow on the grass and the cross light on the castle is beautiful.
For me though I think you have overdone the Blue filter across the top of frame, it's to heavy and comes too far into the shot. I can see the reason why you used it to mask the hot stone wall on the left of frame, but if you'd masked off the wall and made a layer of that, you could lower the light levels on the wall, then use the "burn" tool to give texture to the wall. You might have achieved a more pleasing result without the heavy filter. Use the filter on the sky by all means, it works well there.
Anyway just a thought, this is a truly beautiful capture in every respect.
Congratulations on a wonderful image.
Regards
Peter

Quite frankly I'm stunned with the sharpness and the level of detail captured in this photograph.
