Dear Simon,
Of course this capture does never need a note.
It's only a concept of the photographer and the appreciation by the beholder.
Excellent imagination.

best wishes
Dr. J.

NB: I have updated a critique on Gujjar. Check it.

Hi Simon. Nice POV and the horizon is just right in this motive. I can hear the gentle waves against the ship and I can smell the sea, I only wish I had to enjoy it from your perspective. Tomorrow I go on my own journey as you can see in my lastest post. I'll return with much more from the Eastgreenland mountains. In the meantime have a nice summer and thank's for all your useful comments in the past ½ year. See you... Greetings Jens :-)

Hello Simon,
Excelent POV! seems me that ship be moored ? because I see piece of land in right bottom horn, but in first moment I thought that you fly in air ;) Great composition. I like perfectly visible the elements of rigging and very good quality.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards
Maciek

Er?? Standing on the dockside with a telephoto lens? You're a better man than I am Gungha din.

How did I miss this one?
Your unique viewpoint, combined with the tilted horizon, gives an impression of the precariousness of your position, and certainly gives a sense of drama to the image.
It works well, although imagine the impact this would have had shot with a wider lens, a 20mm perhaps - actually a 16mm fisheye would have done the job nicely!

Cheers,
Ben

WOW
what a POV Simon
This is something.
great shot you have here.
TFS

You "was" in a precarious spot is where you was, I like the tilt, that adds a dynamic element, now why can't my 10 year old scans look half as decent as this 1982 vintage, arrrrr.....

On the bowspruit, of course, which is a very safe place. The horizon is a bit tilted, but otherwise this is a nice picure. What ship ?

All the best,

Emmanuel
