After "the Children of Lô" for my come back from Africa, I'll try to show you our trip to the Burkina-Faso through the roads of Morocco, Mauritania and Mali.

To begin, we took the ferry to cross the Mediterranean sea, from Sete to Tangier.

One hour before landing on Morocco, we crossed the mythical Detroit of Gibraltar and the famous Rock.

This little land in the south of Spain is english since 1713. During a long time the main activities were military (it's a particular strategic place) ; nowadays, the enclave turns towards the finance and most of all the tourism.
The Rock (the best view is when you come from the Mediterranean sea) culminate at 426 m and is the shelter of a big Berber macaques colony.

14 km wide, the Detroit of Gibraltar is the 2nd maritime way for its activity after the Channel : 100000 ships pass each other in a year. Most of all join the Atlantic ocean to the mediterranean ports and over, by the Suez canal.
The intense trafic is regulate to that the ships going west to east and the ones going north to south don't collide.
